- Chi-Min Liu
- Chi-Min Liu received the M.S. degree and Ph. D. degree in electronics from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1987 and 1991, respectively. He is currently the Professor of the Dept. of Computer Science, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. His research interests include audio compression, audio effect, and video compression. He leads the Perceptual Signal Processing Laboratory at http://psplab.csie.nctu.edu.tw and has published around 100 technical papers. In addition to the scholoar experiences, Eldon has a lot of industrial experiences on multimedia software and Linux systems.

可以請助教提示一下rate distortion function如何繪製嗎？

回覆刪除2. rate distortion function 是bit對應失真的曲線。
由該曲線可以看出壓縮器花bit的效率好不好，例如花很多bit但曲線還是很趨進水平，代表給bit沒什麼幫助。
上課教的是理論上給定bit後，所能達到的品質。 你們則是要畫出實際的bit vs. distortion(SNR)曲線圖。
